Believer vs cynic

I hear mumbling in my mind,

 I am forever in a bind.

Believer whispers “love and trust”,

cynic attacks,the bubble is bust.

Their battle rages in the cage.

Ah! the bets to wage.

I want the believer to win ,

but the chances are so thin.

The cynic is close to victory,

my heart feels so sorry.

As the believer takes his last breath

the cynic cheers his death.

Now the cynic occupies the throne of my mind

to my feelings , the cynic is blind.

I hope the believer rises like a pheonix

for the believer and cynic meant to rule together, thats fix.

But right now its the cynic alone,

as his whispers have finally won.
